MAKENZI was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio but has relocated to Norfolk, Virginia. She majored in Business and has worked in the financial industry for several years. She has only been writing for three years and since then she has produced two fiction novels, That's How I Like It! and the follow-up Dangerously.

Makenzi is a member of VYSS whose mission is: "To promote, stimulate and motivate the creativity and vision of African American females."
