Lonnie B. Spry was born in Miami, Florida. He grew up in Forestville, Maryland and graduated from Suitland High School in 1998. As a child, Lonnie developed an early interest in writing poetry from reading the Songs of Solomon in the Bible. In high school, Lonnie had a heightened interest in reading Shakespeare in English classes where he continued to hone his writing skills. After many humorous and amusing poems and stories, his friends encouraged him to write a book. While unemployed, he took their advice and How Do I Go On? was created.
