That's the story behind my novella, Consequences: When Love Is Blind. All Sade Peters wanted was to be the best mother to her kids, and a good wife to her husband Andre.  For seventeen years, they lived a fairytale life but all it took was the exposure of one secret to crush their happily ever after. Feel Sade's devastation as she discovers her husband's infidelity; her shock as she sees with her own eyes that his lover is a man; and her pain when HIV results for both she and Andre come back positive. 

I am quite passionate about the education to eradicate a deadly disease, while uplifting a community and what better way to spread the word about HIV/AIDS than through my passion of writing.

Good Day My Fellow Readers,

 I am excited to share my debut novel, A Special Summer with you. First let me begin by telling you that I’ve been an avid reader since childhood. The very first “real” book I remember reading is Charlotte’s Web! Having read various genres over the years, I’ve come to have an ongoing love affair with romance novels.

 You may be asking yourselves, out of all genres, “Why romance?”  Well, I’m glad you inquired. For me romance novels are escapism from a world that is downright full of mayhem and stress. Being a wife, mother and working fulltime in the medical profession has me, at times, bouncing off the walls! Being able to pick up one of my favorite romance author’s latest books, getting lost in the pages is my own brand of therapy!

 Writing a romance novel has been just as therapeutic. In A Special Summer you will experience that this is not your “traditional” romance novel. You will however, experience a story that speaks to various universal themes involving heartbreak, betrayal, estranged relationships, redemption, and forgiveness, all with a twist of romance and passion.
