BRENDA
J. ANDERSON is a graduate of North
Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University, Greensboro,
North Carolina where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in
Business Administration. She is also a graduate of Old Dominion
University in Norfolk, Virginia where she earned a Masters in
Reading. Brenda has proudly served in the teaching profession for
over fifteen years. She is presently teaching in the Chesapeake
Public School System in Chesapeake, Virginia where she resides with
her family.
Brenda and her
husband, James Sr., have been blessed with four wonderful
children: Shastca, James, Jr., Roy and Joshua, and three beautiful
grandchildren: Malik, Destini and Marquis.
Brenda served as a
caregiver for her mother and with her family witnessed the
miraculous death process which inspired her to write Touched by
Mama, which served as Brenda’s way of healing from the pain of
the death of “Mama.”
Brenda and her
family attend the Mount Lebanon Baptist Church (The Mount) in
Chesapeake, Virginia where her cousins, Dr. K. W. Brown and Elder
Valerie Brown, are the senior pastors. Brenda’s husband, James, is
one of the associate ministers at “The Mount.” Brenda can always
hear Mama’s voice saying, “A family that prays together, stays
together.”
